Dear Casting Director,
I am Polly Wragg, I was born on 20th of may 2007 . I have been dancing for 13 years old . Dancing has always been a favorite thing in my heart because, I have been diagnosed with Epilepsy in 3rd of august 2022.This was a very hard time for me so, dance was great for my mental health because I had seizures nearly every week. Also having friends in college supporting me makes it even better because, they can help me go through things when I am struggling. However besides having Epilepsy I do also have a condition called 22q11.2 deletion which means I am missing a 22 chromosome. This can also make a weakened immune system. However this involves me having learning difficulties, by not processing this as better than people who does not have my condition will process things quicker.
The role I would like to do in the play is Tinkerbell, this is because I do not have a lot of lines. However it is still a main character and not ensemble. So I can at least feel I am doing a main role in FMP. Also when I was little I absolutely loved Tinkerbell when I was little, so the minute I heard this role was in the play I knew I wanted to be this role.
The relevant skills I have to this role is that I have been acting from high school to now. In year 9 I joined Dewsbury arts group, to prevent my acting to be better for my jobs to be in the future. However besides from acting, I have been dancing for 13 years. From doing dance I have loads of experienced for doing shows, for example I have danced in Blackpool Tower to showcase people in Blackpool, the different type of styles dancers can do from loads of different studios, my old studio was Ambition Academy. Plus doing this, I have done loads of different studios with them. The type of styles I have done for 13 years is, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre,Commercial,Ballet. I am now dancing for TECDA this is now my second year here, and doing a summer show for TECDA. My dance teacher in college Jessica Hall, mentioned that the other place she works at The Bradford Players are doing Rock of Ages. So I auditioned for that and now I am doing rehearsals for it and now waiting for the show to come up!
My enthusiasm for this role is very important for me because, I have been practing my lines over and over to prepare myself. Also I have been practicing for, my singing audition even though Tinker Bell does not have any songs to sing, to show if they do not think this role is meant for me. I can have a better chance for any other roles.
