Ambition Hub – FMP Project 3 – Proposal

Section one – A review over the years :

My progress has changed a lot over the past two years at Bradford college for example my acting skills has changed a lot as I only did acting classes once a week before coming to Bradford college so it has shown a improvement on a lot of the vocal side on stage and learning new techniques like Stanislavski. I have also gained more leadership skills with learning with more people as my confidence has grown over the two years that I have been here. I also have been a dancer for 16 years now and having extra dance classes at Bradford College has made my dancing improved a lot more and gave myself more confident in my dancing and to know I can also help others is well. Finally this year by having more singing lessons every week I did not have a lot of confidence within my singing but now I can feel confident within my self to help me prove on what type of roles I want to audition for.

Section 2 – Project Concept :

Our play is the Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime this is a play by Simon Stephens. The Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime is about a autistic boy called Christopher and has just found a dog that was killed in his neighbors garden and his dad told him not to investigate on why his neighbors dog died but he did anyway and he founds out in the end that his dad lied to him the whole time and just found out he is the one who killed the dog and lied about his mum who left but his dad told him his mum had a heart attack but instead she just moved away. However it is normally a play but we are making ours into a contemporary musical.

Section 3 – Rationale :

We will all create this play/musical as a team but also main help from Steph, Jess and Eric. We all have 9 weeks to create our FMP so having a weekly timetable will make it better for us all to know what to do every day. Next having production roles can help a lot on making our FMP less stressful by leaving everything to one person so by sorting it out to everyone in the class we can work as a team and help each other by having production feedback.

Section 4 – Evaluation:

Throughout the journey of FMP I will be recording a diary on what the process of FMP is going and what characters people have got. By doing this it will allow me to do know how to improve in rehearsals each day, so I can get a better grade for my FMP. I will also be showing a overview on what the show is on what we are doing that week. Next I will show my stated aims throughout the years, by doing this I will give myself goals every week to improve on how I can improve on my rehearsals and coursework. Furthermore to this I will be giving my honest opinions on how I can stay focused in rehearsals and get better so I know what is happening in my performance. Moreover to this I will ask my tutors to give me feedback on how well I did on my rehearsal that day so I can compare every week to get better in rehearsal.
