Q1.Have you developed any skills with this project?
Yes I have learned how to help people behind the camera which I did not know that you can do those type of jobs as well as being on the camera, so it was fun for me to develop those type of skills by helping people behind the scenes. I have also learned a new accent for my character which I have never done before which was fun to do.
Q2. What type of research did you help create this film?
We looked at different type of adverts and what things they would watch during the war that is why we did “Ration Fashion” because they would do fashion shows back in 1940 to entertain people whilst the war was on. We also watched a lot of horrible history episodes to get some ideas.
Q3. How many takes did it make through the whole day?
Day 1 :
Tuesday 2nd December :
Juan 1 – This scene only took 3 takes because it was a easy scene to do.
Juan 2 – This scene took 4 takes just because of stage directions.
Juan 3 – This scene took 15 takes to do because it was one of the most hardest scene to do, because we did not know most of the stage directions so it was hard to do.
Day 2 :
Wednesday 3rd December :
I came in late because I had a hospital appointment so I just helped behind the scenes instead and helped everyone in the morning they did the “Border control” scene and it took around 4 takes to do then we all went back in for lunch and after lunch we did the hospital scene and we had level 2 and 3 as our back up actors for that scene so I made sure that they were ok and they did everything right and when it came to filming I was a fill in incase anyone forgot their lines or stage directions.
Day 3 :
Thursday 4th December:
Ration Fashion – This scene was hard to do even though we know it, because of the costumes and the lighting and having to mark out the spacing so it had to be done in 10 takes which took the whole morning.
Party scene – This scene we knew what to do, however we kept messing up on lines so we had to do multiple takes. Then once we got the perfect take we had to go onto the dance scene which we had to take separate scene for and that took about three takes again because of lighting and spaces.
