Meaning for me:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When people ask me what I’m scared of I say I’m not sure but really I’m scared of being all alone in the dark, that’s when the anxiety comes out, all the thoughts come and you feel so alone with it all. It feels like you can’t escape the thoughts because you just keep overthinking about everything and anything. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These photos show loneliness and darkness. This is my fear, being alone in a dark room all alone. This makes me feel as if I’m going to go insane because I feel like all of my thoughts are coming at me all at once and it’s overwhelming. I want to take similar photos and try putting words over it to explain how I feel and how spooked out I feel by my own thoughts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meaning for other people:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyril-<\/strong> Makes him feel unsafe, unsure of his surroundings or what’s going on. It also makes him feel like there’s a lack of support and he’s out of his comfort zone. He feels as if his brain goes back into primitive mode and makes him feel uneasy to the point where he can’t think properly. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kieran- Fear is humanity over compensating in our own minds and we’re meant to be in danger. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ella- Paranormal, scary of spirits\/ ghosts. Are they real or not?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia- Scared of spiders, clowns and fear of the unknown supernatural things.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia- Sees fear as a lack of control.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    My idea for photos:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I want someone to take a photo of me in the studio where it’s dark and I want to look distressed, and me using my phone as the only light. In photoshop edit some thought bubbles to make people see what social media can<\/strong> do to a persons thought process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Spotlighting:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Spotlighting is basically where the light is on the specific object\/ person making it look creepier. You can use this in the topic of fear, by having a person dressed up as a clown and have them out on the street under a lamppost to make it creepy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Saturation:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Saturation is when you edit the photo and it has more colour added to it instead of it being closer to grey. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This photo is of the sunset and obviously that’s not creepy but I wanted to do the saturation. So I took the photo of the sunset and added way more saturation which made it look more of a red and orange colour. Saturation makes the photo way more bright and adds way more colour to the actual photo. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Backlighting:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Backlighting is when the subject is in front of light source.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Uplighting:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Uplighting is when the lightships up onto the subject.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Casting shadows are formed when one surface stops another surface from the light source.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Harsh lighting produces a well defined silhouette accompanied by distinct, hard shadows.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Shooting through objects is when you take a object between the front of the lens and the subject.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Practical lighting is when any and all light sources that are visible in a scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Me and kia were trying out different light techniques. We also used sunlight but that didn’t work in the sense of fear because fear is dark, gloomy. Whereas sunlight makes it look nice but not creepy, it makes it look cute and not gloomy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I thought of the idea of doing witchcraft because it links with fear because it’s creepy and there’s movies based off of witches. Me and Kia though to make a fairy circle and put the witch inside and make it seem as if I’m casting spells and coming for you. We were testing out different coloured gels, making the background one colour and me another colour, we did this to make it look more spooky.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kia took this photo by accident while we were testing out lightings but I think it’s a good accident, it looks creepy because it looks as if there’s more than one face. It could also potentially look like a ghost went straight through me.<\/strong> This could potentially also look like a three headed monster in nightmares.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kia took portrait photos of me and then I searched up skull photos and then I chose one and placed it over my face and made it seem like I’m a devil. I did the same but. searched up creepy doll face and then I placed it onto my face and erased whatever I didn’t want. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I like Kelly’s work because it’s mysterious, it also looks creepy, the lady with vale looks like a witch so it links with my witchcraft photoshoot. She also does a lot of her photography in woods which makes it more creepy and I also want to do photography in the woods. The shadow effect also looks really cool and creepy so I really want to test it out and see if I can make it work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
