To further mimic the work of Christopher McKenney, I carried out my second shoot in a wooded area. I used a tripod again, along with the white piece of material to cover the models head with. I did the same thing I did during the first McKenney-based shoot, where I took photos with the model in the frame, removed the model, and took the photo again.

For this first set of pictures, I took them at my eye level from slightly behind a tree, making sure I used a tripod to keep the camera completely still. To edit, I used the quick selection tool in Photoshop to copy and paste only the white cloth onto a picture I took of just the trees. I did this with all the pictures to totally remove the rest of the models body from the final images. I altered the colour balance to add a more purple hue to the photos as well as lowering the contrast and increasing the brightness. I finished off by cropping all three of the photos to be the same size so they could all be shown together.

I used the same editing techniques for this set of photos as well, except I slightly blurred the backgrounds of the last two to make the depth of field look shallower. I changed the colour balance to make the colours look more grey/blue, lowered the contrast and adjusted the curves.
I am proud of how all these photos turned out as I think the ‘ghost’ progressively getting closer to the camera in each frame, really conveys the idea of being chased by something, which is what I was going for.
