I decided to do a spontaneous shoot and attempt to take photos of fireworks from a front window of my house at around 00:00 on New Years. I used a tripod and placed my camera so it was facing out of the open window.
I tried to take some longer exposure photos to show the passing of time, but with those, the fireworks looked really blurry so I decided to take most of my pictures with a faster shutter speed instead.
To edit this photo I adjusted the levels which made the sky look less smokey and grey, increased the vibrance a little bit and made the whole photo have a more purple hue to it by adjusting the colour balance.
I edited this picture in the same way except I increased the vibrance all the way and made the sky look slightly more orange.
I decided to crop this photo because the fireworks were going off in only one area which I wanted to focus on. I adjusted the levels and vibrance only. This is because if i did any more, the photo would have looked over-edited as it had already been cropped once.
I think this shoot vaguely links with my theme as these pictures can kind of signify the journey through the year and how 2023 has come to an end. However as they do not really follow the idea of public transport I have chosen I will not consider using them for exhibition.
