I went on a site visit to the David Hockney Library with my phone and took pictures of a few of the potential areas where I could exhibit my work. I took photos of big, available spaces in the library as I am planning to present 3 portrait photos from the Dreams Project (Luke Gram shoot) in a triptych.
I have decided that I would like this to be a physical piece, so for the dimensions of each photo, they are all going to be the same size; printed in either A1 or A2. This depends on what space I decide to use/ end up using and how much of the area I want the display to fill. I have also thought about how there will be small gaps between each photo and how this may affect the amount of space they take up.
I have considered the sustainability of my plans and have decided that I will most likely use foam-board for my exhibition. This is because, although it may not be the most eco-friendly material, the photos are going to be on display for a year so it is the most suitable thing to use. The length of time it is gong to be up outweighs its environmental impact.
To gain some more ideas of how I may want to exhibit my work, I visited the Bradford Impressions Gallery and took photos of how a few of the pictures there had been presented together.
