Supattanawadee Maunta -based in Thailand- graduated from university with a Masters Degree in Printmaking, Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts. She has also won several awards from national and international competitions and participated in various group exhibitions. Her interest is based on humanity.
Maunta’s cyanotype printing artwork consists of double exposure images of a model with branches and flowers overlayed over them. This relates to my specialist practice, which is fine art (composite) photography.

To me Supattanawadee Mauntas cyanotype prints look mysterious yet elegant, which I think is a look created by the fact that the faces of the models cannot be fully seen (either turned away from the camera or covered with flowers) and how flowers/nature have been incorporated into the images.
Although cyanotype prints are already naturally blue, there may have been a reason why the artist chose this specific printing technique. Because her artwork is based on humanity, she may have used the recognisable blue and white colours produced by cyanotype printing to represent humanities qualities as; Blue is sometimes said to represent trust and intelligence and white is sometimes said to be associated with honesty and new beginnings.
