Thinking towards my Final Piece, Antoine Geiger is a photographer that I have taken interest in. This French-Swiss artist visualises the obsessive and immersive relationship society has with technology using digital manipulation. This technique he uses, depicts random people being sucked into the screens of their phones.

All of these pictures are from Geigers ‘SUR-FAKE’ series showing random people with their faces completely lost and stretched towards the devices in their hands. Antoine Geiger has used Photoshop to make it so no emotion can be seen on the subjects face, rendering each a personality-less drone.
These photos all illustrate how many members of society seem to be completely immersed in technology -even in public spaces- when they should be focusing more on the real world around them, outside of their phone screens. This concept links well with my main theme as my focus is on how technological media affects people in their day-to-day lives.
I plan to use Antoine Geigers work as inspiration for my Final Piece.
