Kyle Thompson shoot plan

I am planning to take photos similar to Kyle Thompsons work, except it will be in the studio, rather than outside(usually in wooded areas). This is because in the studio, it will be easier for me to control what type of lighting conditions I will need for the photos I’m going to take.

I am planning on using a bandage type of material, wrapped around someones head and completely covering their face like the original photographer did to make the photos seem kind of creepy and haunted. I also want to try to add other small objects by making them stick out of the fabric to make it look less plain and slightly more chaotic and questionable like some dreams are. I’m going to use green ribbon, peacock feathers and gold feathers so there is a nice colour theme. I want to use feathers because I want the photos to have a kind of eerie scarecrow theme like in horror movies and hint at the presence of birds, linking in more with nightmares.

I will need the background to be completely black with a beam of light shining directly onto the subject so the texture of the material can clearly be seen; more so than in Kyle Thompsons images.
