To be accepted on the above courses, I need a Merit or Higher, which stresses me out as I haven’t looked at other course options at other universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhile looking around the university, I signed up for Headstart, which allows me to earn 8 UCAS points by writing. A 500-1000 word self-reflection based on my experience of primary HE research carried out at a University of Huddersfield Open Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I obtained a Merit in my first year and hope to maintain or increase that standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The key for me from the university is support for a disability as I have autism. Additional support has been vital both at school and college, and I was not sure what options were available if I went to university as my EHCP would no longer be valid. When I revisited Huddersfield on the 23rd of November, I was keen to look at support options, and the university helped point me to disability student award that I could apply for from Student Finance England, as funds can be used to pay for Non-Medical help and also an extension on submissions of assignments. I have only reviewed Huddersfield University’s support and will look at other universities to see what support they offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
