Before things have even begun I recently found out Ableton 11 LIVE was on sale because Ableton 12 LIVE is releasing in the first two weeks of March. This is exactly what I needed – I couldn’t justify spending \u00a3600 on suite because that would be too costly, so in a sudden turn of events; my grandad has bought me the student discounted 11 LIVE Suite Edition for around \u00a3250. This is an absolute steal for what I get at this price, and this means I don’t have to do any backbreaking real world work to get the funds I need. This also means I don’t need to set up any GoFundMe page or any type of donation; I already own it and am ready to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That being said, I also get a free upgrade to Ableton 12 LIVE when it is released. All I will have to do is downsave so I can use it on the systems at college (if they aren’t updated instantly), but this is a really helpful and positive change to things. I can get to work at home and get a headstart on making music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the first week I am going to conduct some research into the Roland JD 990 and Triton Rack Synth, comparing their aspects to see what the differences are in what I’m working with, versus what I would’ve wanted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After I conducted my research, a day later I was tasked with setting up the equipment with Evan so that I knew what I was doing. The ‘jail room’ is now affectionately named ‘Cameron’s Domain’ as I have posted evidence and documentation on a separate page.
