This week, I planned to look at reflection, having submitted my tracks for publishing on Spotify, etc. But I ended up having to resubmit through LANDR.
This was my fault, as it is complicated when it comes to submission of music, as I had decided my influence for the tracks was Super Metroid, I submitted it under the category of Soundtracks. And I received a long email but it boiled down to one major issue
“If the release is not an official soundtrack for synchronisation with a specific piece of media, please change the Genre and Sub-Genre.”
So that is exactly what I did, I chose electronic and resubmitted a positive outcome was that I now understood the submission process, and it only took me about 1hr..

Although I wasn’t doing a music performance at the underground, as many students were, I wanted to help where I could, so I went down to the venue to help the students set up and was finished by around 1 pm. There was very little to do after 3 pm, and I was mentally struggling with the number of people at the venue and the noise, and was anxious about the evening, as the number of people there now was difficult for me, and I didn’t feel I could cope with a packed venue. So I decided to go home. I find it very difficult in large groups, and I must think about this a lot.

I made a few changes on the portal today moving my 4 weekly reflections and moved them under Evaluations and Reflections this way I could refer back to them when writing up my reflections of the whole project.
I re-read my reflections over the last 12 weeks and stated to make notes on the whole project.
And I paused to think I have struggled at times over this 3 months but looking back at my initial presentation of what I wanted to do and what I have done I am pleased with the outcome although for me this has been a difficult journey in places.

I was frustrated today that my submission of my tracks to Spotify was still in Review, and I would like to have the tracks published as part of my reflection and evaluation, as this process takes longer than I thought.

I have started writing my reflection using Gibbs Reflective Cycle (1988) and looked at the description as I said, as of today, I am still awaiting the release of my tracks to Spotify, and if this changes I will update this part of my reflection.

I continued with my reflection, looking at how this went, what went well, and what didn’t. A real big disappointment was the use of AI tools. Although they are helpful for some genres of music, they didn’t help with what I was trying to achieve.
I am pleased with how the reflection has gone, and believe this final project will help me in my university course. especially around the planning and recollection and I will finish my final review next week and update any final thoughts especially if my tracks get released as my final line in my reflection is “Tracks published on Spotify/YouTube through LANDR – TBC” I hope it becomes a yes and not a negative.
