EVALUATION
I feel like my presentation could have gone better, but for the most part, I’m glad that I even got up to go do anything. I have been left with things to think about and one of my problems has actually sorted itself out naturally – by pure luck.
Getting access to a JD-990 is hard. I will admit that. But as Lukass said in a question post-presentation, why not look around at studios with that sort of equipment, and hire out that one or something similar? I will have to look into studios around me to see if I can hire this specific equipment, but for now, a Triton Rack Synth will do, and I’ve changed my outlook from some comments from other peers. One mentioned how I could look at any VSTs similar to the JD-990 if the rack synth doesnt have what I need, and I can now.
Money isn’t an issue with Ableton on my personal laptop because I have found it on sale for suite edition, and I get a free upgrade. For £250 I have all of Ableton’s features, and I now think I can afford to use some more modern sounding instruments in my composition.
