Week 5 Mini Analysis

This week (starting 15/04/24) I’m going to attempt to make a rough structure for my song so I can find out how long I want it to be! With this I will be adding slight tweaks to the song so that it can feel like it progresses over however long it lasts. The work I have done is documented in my original composition page, and tomorrow I should be able to start on this; as today, I ran into several issues that even Evan couldn’t sort out on a moments notice. It seems to involve the microphone bugging out and therefore not playing audio which also in turn stops my videos being playable, and led to me getting a spinning beach ball icon on Live for about 10 minutes before it crashed.

16/04/24 I have the same problem again after switching USB hubs and I am growing increasingly inpatient as the time passes. To start my day like this is not ideal, and so I have to wait to get troubleshooting as I write this. Most of today has unfortunately been spent on fixing technical issues, and after troubleshooting by turning off the laptop, unplugging and plugging everything back in, we found the problem was with the Scarlett Midi Hub that required us to get rid of it effective immediately, and replace it with a much larger TASCAM which has 16 in ports. I don’t need this many, but our solution was there, and the problem was fixed entirely as now I can work on making the structure of the song. So far I have the structure of IVCBVC, so IntroVerseChorusBreakdownVerseChorus, and I will upload the current WIP on the other respective page and note what I have done. I think in the end I will go for a structure of IVCBVCVCB.
