The dream may contain situations of discomfort, psychological or physical terror, or panic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Falling &#8211; The feeling of&nbsp;<em>falling<\/em>&nbsp;through the air while dreaming is a frequent theme that has emerged from dream research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lucid dreams &#8211; A type of dream in which the dreamer becomes aware that they are dreaming while they are dreaming. It is a trainable skill.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>False awakening &#8211; A vivid and convincing dream about awakening from sleep, while the dreamer in reality continues to sleep. After a false awakening, subjects often dream they are performing daily morning routine such as showering, cooking, cleaning, eating, and using the bathroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recurring dream &#8211; A dream which is experienced repeatedly over a long period. They can be pleasant or nightmarish and unique to the person and their experiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daydreaming &#8211; The stream of consciousness that detaches from current, external tasks when attention drifts to a more personal and internal direction. When thoughts move to a different place while daydreaming it\u2019s referred to as mind wandering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Precognition &#8211; The purported psychic phenomenon of seeing, or otherwise becoming directly aware of, events in the future.
