I tried to use a technique of layering while experimenting in the dark room. In the last 3 pictures I used the normal technique of layering the two images over each other and exposing it, then soaking it in the liquids. However, for the top two I used a technique called “solarising.” This involves you doing the exposing then soaking the picture in the first liquid, but taking it out after the image starts to show and exposing it again for about 5 seconds. This creates a silverly metallic look after you put it back into the liquids and that effect looked really nice on some of the parts of the image to fill in instead of the whites.
