Main inspiration: Kyle Nutt
Kyle Nutt is a social media photographer and videographer known for his location scouting skills and his ability to create amazing shots with low budget. I mainly took inspiration from his video of him using a lightbar to create the effect of somebody stepping into a portal (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fXrChhug2XU) creating this image.
This style of portal was created by using a plastic bag, but I decided that I wanted to use a regular portal without the swirling effects as I couldn’t manage to get the technique right in Photoshop or practically.
