Originally, Millie Lumb who’s a photography student at college was going to be taking the photos for this look but had to cancel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I asked a professional photographer from outside of college who’s worked with a lot of other students here how much it would cost for her to come take photos for the practical assessment but she didn’t respond. I tried calling her 5 days after I originally messaged her but she didn’t answer and I sent another message a week later but still haven’t got anything back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve messaged Millie to ask if there are any other students who are good at fashion and editorial photography. If she doesn’t respond or the person she recommends can’t do it I’ll ask Anna the photography technician but I’m very concerned about the time because as I’m writing this there is exactly a week left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Millie didn’t get back to me but I asked Emily for any recommendations and one of the people she recommended was Chloe Gorman who did the photos for my project 3 assessment so I asked her and she agreed to be my photographer for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My model for the look is Robert Farrar, a performing arts student. I chose him because I specifically wanted a queer male model because bondage and leather have deep roots in queer history, specifically among gay men. Other reasons I chose him are that he’s modelled for me before and given me some of my best images, he’s confident which I need for the look because if I had a shyer model, the photos could feel very forced with the themes of the look. He’s also got a similar build to me which will make making the outfit easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day of the assessment, he cancelled due to health reasons so I had to reschedule for the next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
