I’m really happy with the look. I think the Vaseline on the cheeks and temples of the forehead give the right shine whilst being strategically placed so it doesn’t just look unintentionally sweaty. The skin doesn’t look overdone but still looks fresh. The eyeshadow pops how I wanted it to and I think the spiked hair worked well. I think the bruise looks very realistic. I mainly used red, purple, maroon and blue with some yellow around the edges. It has a good mottling effect that makes it look like it’s coming from under the skin. I think my timing was really good. I finished the main look with about 10 minutes before my photographer came so I was just doing touch ups and adding final details like the gloss on the lids and vaseline on the cheeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think that the contour on the jaw could’ve been blended more but because the MadeByMitchell Colour Case dries quite fast it can be hard to blend and I’d been distracted by the hair and other parts of the face before I remembered to blend the jaw. I probably should have done more for the brows. I got the messy look I wanted with them but I should have filled them in to make them look thicker. I need to improve when it comes to brows in general because I always struggle with filling them in. Because my model was blinking, the lip gloss on the eyes, some of the shine had gone. I think I should’ve asked the photographer if we could stop for a short time to add some more back on. Some of the eyeliner also transferred because of the gloss, so next time I’d set ot with some more powder and black eyeshadow or test more types of gloss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
