Conservatoire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Leeds Conservatoire is local enough not to have to move away, so I won&#8217;t be looking at accommodation for this university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The courses Leeds Conservatoire offer appeal to me because of how practical they are and how you can study a major and minor course in one year and come out with both in one BA(Hons) qualification. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate-courses\/ba-hons-music-pop-with-production\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate-courses\/ba-hons-music-pop-with-production\/\">BA(Hons) Music (Popular with Production)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements for this course are 96 UCAS points from a level 3 study, including one music related subject, an instrumental grade of 8 in one instrument and a grade 5 music theory understanding level, though it doesn&#8217;t have to be formally examined as it will be tested in an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application method for this course is split into two parts: <br>Popular requires either an in-person audition or a submitted video audition<br>Production requires a portfolio to be submitted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course focuses on creating a music career and building an impressive portfolio by offering plenty of performance and project opportunities both within the structure of the course and outside as optional choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is the course content on the page, as well as the optional \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The fact that I could tailor the degree to what I am interested in is great, as I could choose to lean more towards studio work and prepare myself for the area that I eventually want to work in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some modules that interest me greatly are live music management, music technology, self-promotion and music marketing and software environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate-courses\/ba-hons-music-songwriting\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate-courses\/ba-hons-music-songwriting\/\">BA(Hons) Music (Songwriting)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements for this course are 96 UCAS points from level 3 studies, including a music related course, a formally graded grade 6 in instrumental skill and adequate understanding of music theory, which will be
