Positives:
Most of our parts were learnt prior to our rehearsal which made rehearsing as a group much easier. The structure was taught in college rehearsal since Nic had to guide us through that to make sure everyone knew what they were doing in every section.
Negatives:
Switching between the chorus pattern to the verse part on guitars had quite a bit of hesitation, so the structure could be practiced more or listened back to using this kind of video.
Robert would probably benefit from learning the vocals early on so that he doesn’t need his phone for lyrics or lyric pages, it will look much more professional and his stage presence will benefit from it.
Ollie’s drums coming out of the B section were delayed from the rest of the band, which means we need to go over that section specifically to make sure we all play in unison.
Dynamically the guitars overpowered the bass way too much, it should be more of an equal balance considering the style we’re playing in and the importance of the bass solo.
Lastly, we need to figure out what we’re doing for the ending regarding how many times we go around, who signals the ending and whether or not we’re doing the vocals only line at the very end.
general practice
ethan had forgotten his intro part because it had been a while since we last played this song
