What did I enjoy and not enjoy about this project?

I found Ableton fun and relatively easy to use after being shown in class many different possibilities of end results and several different ways of recording and altering tone. In a way, the song I made matches how I feel about this project. It was stress free, easy to navigate and an overall good time.

There’s very little I can comment on about what I didn’t enjoy, but I think finding the right packs, samples and tones was a challenge. I’m very picky, so I spent a long time on this.

What do I think I did well?

My structure is realistic and reasonable and the instrumentation was appropriate for the type of song I was aiming for, so I think my end goal was reached. My experimentation aided me greatly in this project and I’m glad we had a few lessons on exclusively that. The rate at which I worked was good, I didn’t fall behind or have to stress about the deadline.

What could I have changed?

I could have paid more attention to the switch between the intro and verse and introduced lyrics and an overlapping melody if I had the confidence and had considered it earlier to have enough time.

Was development documented appropriately?

I documented both experimentation and development in detail, but I could use terminology that suggests a clearer understanding of the specifics of what I plan to do.
