The bass part is really easy throughout, so I reckon the only rehearsal I’ll need will be remembering any subtle changes and going over the structure, ready for recording.
I’ll be using songsterr again for learning this part since it’s super simple and easy to follow.
My first rehearsal consisted of following the songsterr tabs and recording video and audio separately, audio through logic by DI and video through photo booth on my mac.
This video is my first listen of the bass and I’m just playing along to the tabs to learn which areas I need to focus on. Because this is just learning by playing along, I can’t say I know the structure well but I know each part separately. In some places I have simplified parts because I didn’t read quick enough to do exactly what it says. I know I can play to speed since this is no trouble at all.
I feel as though this is super easy, I just need to remember some small details and that’s all. As far as tone goes, I need to have a warm tone with a balanced bass level while doing the actual recording.

Below is a practice recording of the bass part for the first verse and chorus with the programmed drums set in place before effects. I’m doing practice recordings while rehearsing to become more comfortable recording and be less hesitant.
While hesitant and quiet, the tone on this is great and adds a lot of feel to the lower end. I should note that this kind of tone is what I want for my final recording.
