I explained the content I wrote in some detail. I talked about things that are unnecessary at points and delivered my presentation with minimal confidence. Although I faced the class and camera, my body language gives away that I feel uncomfortable. I hesitated a lot as I knew I had to both finish the presentation quickly due to a lack of time and I hadn’t been able to access the notes I made, although this may be my own fault for being underprepared. Generally my voice projection is poor, I can barely hear myself looking back at this video. I remember feeling very spaced out the moment I began presenting, likely due to my lack of confidence with public speaking and little experience in it. To improve my confidence in this area of performance, I’d like to perform in other ways more frequently and get to know the class. I think my presentation would have gone smoother if I had prepared a guideline or script to follow.
The presentation I put together was very detailed, showing my knowledge on this specific artist’s performance to be sufficient. Aesthetically, the presentation is pleasing to look at and is organised well but the text is too small for the back of the class to see with ease and should have been made much more visible. I did cover musical composition and elements of the song, but didn’t present it unfortunately.
