Responsibilities for this showcase have been split between the seven of us. In the likely event that I forget who’s managing what task, I’m writing out what we’ve been assigned as directly from the powerpoint in class so that I know who I need to speak to about what, as well as a brief description of what I understand to be each person’s responsibility.
Management and Promotion Team:
Isobel – Event manager / Director
Isobel has the overall say of what happens. She’s effectively the team leader and has to ensure things are happening in a coordinated manner and in the way that we as a group agreed. She covers everything to do with management, like promotion, branding and our income if we choose to have one.
Kaitlyn – Social media manager and brand / logo designer
I’m responsible for promotion on the former Amplified Instagram page and branding, meaning I need to produce art for promotional posters to hang around college, the logo and any photoshoots we may need. Isobel has also asked me to work alongside her to make sure we don’t miss anything and things are more organised.
Robert – Events marketer and sponsorship and partnership manager
Robert is responsible of any income we may have through sponsorships or other ways of raising money, as well as general marketing.
Production Team:
Albert – Technical director and sound
Albert is responsible for managing the desk and likely will have a part in setting up the sound system to his liking, whether it be set up with speakers in the front and back or a custom layout. He’ll lead sound-checks and manage monitors for the performers.
Oliver – Production manager and projections
Oliver covers everything to do with the production from sound to lights and projections. I imagine he’ll mostly be checking everything is in order on the night and preparing the lights with Luke, as well as projections.
Luke – Lighting and designer
Luke will be managing lights, decoration and other aspects to make the venue feel a certain way to set the performers up for success and to give the audience a good show and something interesting to look at.
Ethan – Stage manager and production assistant
I imagine Ethan is in charge of stage set-up and packing up with the help of others, as well as helping others with their tasks to ensure the stage looks good on the night of the performance.
