Final piece

Due to me wanting to do Mod roc for my final piece these were my attempts at at least seeing if an end product could be made.

I first tried making a face with mod roc without a base as I. hadn’t thought of it yet and it turned out ok and I even made creases in the clothing too to see if it is ok and it worked. I also painted the dark blue with acrylic and the turquoise with oil to see which one was better. Acrylic was better as it dried quick and looked nice.

These were my 2 ideas for the outfit which were inspired by these images: I ended up choosing the first design.

Practice:

I practiced creating the clothing first. I first set up a good foundation using Cardboard to make the base then used mod roc to create the clothing.

Final Piece process

I first made the base with cardboard as I have done so before and then built up with mod rock and even added flowers in the hands and added a small child that isn’t very clear sleeping in the angels arms.

Final piece:

I combined my 2 quotes together and created an angel in a garden holding a child in its arms. I interpreted it to be a child who has now sadly gone to heaven holding its body protecting itself from harm as they finally let go of themselves and become an angel. It gives them a sense of hope and shows them that they won’t be in pain But rather protected and blessed before leaving this world and it shows how a child is as pure as anything.
