When creating a setlist I would like to do mostly songs that people know so that I could get a very versatile and mixed audience at my gigs, so I think were going to pick some over songs as well as some newer songs so our target audience is for all ages and so that everybody can enjoy the gig to an extent.
Here are some song ideas that we will learn and try:
Run to you
Walk me home
Who knew
shallow
Iris
Can’t catch me now
You’re so vein
Fast car
Say you won’t let go
Hotel California
Summer of 69
Banana pancakes
Stop this train
Here comes the sun
Yellow
Valerie
Brown eyed girl
SNAP
Stick season
Call your mom
Lavender haze
Rolling in the deep
Brazil
Brown eyed girl
Budapest looper?
Upside down
Your power
Video games
Boys that sing
Lightning bolt
There she goes
Lover
Before he cheats
After trying some of these songs the singers voice wasn’t suited to some of them so we have had to make a few final tweaks and adjustments to the setlist and also some of the songs just didn’t sound as good acoustic so here’s the final setlist:
Set 1:
- Run To You C2
- Chasing cars
- Say You Wont Let Go C3
- Walk me home C1
- Lover
- Video Games C2
- 2002
- Your so vain
- Need you now
- Shallow
- Stick season
Set 2:
- Valerie C3
- Hit me with your best shot
- Riptide C1
- Rolling in the deep
- before he cheats C2
- Nothing breaks like a heart C2
- Hypersonic missiles
- Yellow E flat thin
- Who knew
- Summer Of 69
- Mr bright side
When we did a full practice run-through of the gig we used my phone to record the length of each set and fortunately with things like, the audience clapping, me tuning and switching capo and the singer talking to the crowd we have just over two 45s worth of material.
