Introduction

Hi, my name is Ethan. I started playing guitar around seven years ago now! I currently mainly play bass in a band called The Flow, we are a covers band from West Yorkshire that originated around six years ago now. here is our Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/rock2theflow. I have also been in other bands such as acoustic duos, and even a metal band. I started playing bass guitar in Lockdown because I was bored and I decided to buy one, fortunately this has benefitted me massively because, I then got the chance to join The Flow and even fill in for bands playing bass. Over the past three years of playing bass, I think my progression has scaled massively. In the next few months I hope to sit my grade eight bass exam and come out with a distinction. I also have grade 5 guitar with a merit and grade five bass with a distinction. By the time I finish my last year of college I hope that I have booked my grade eight bass exam, This should make getting into a music university a lot less challenging. I hope I end up with a job in the music industry and that I get into a music uni or even some sort of apprenticeship. I also achieved a level 2 merit for my GCSE B-tech music. Over the course of my musical career so far, I have played hundreds of venues across the UK, weddings, events, private parties and festivals but for my final project I would really like to start an acoustic duo up alongside my band so I have double the gigs that i would usually get in a year, I have chosen too start an acoustic duo up for my final project rather than a band because you can play in smaller venues, there’s less disagreements because there’s only two people in the duo and you can get paid more than a band because there’s less people to pay. I would also really like to start an acoustic duo up because it’s a new project and a fresh start and something different that I have done in a while. The main difficulty in this project will be finding a good/reliable singer because I currently don’t know of any so I will have to message and post around to find one. I will also have to learn 2X45 mins of material and get a paid gig of around £200 booked for the last few weeks of the project, Overall I have chosen this because I think I’m definitely going to be committed to this as my final project and I think it will be very enjoyable.
