Introduction

Hi, my name is Ethan. I started playing guitar around seven years ago now! I currently mainly play bass because I play bass in a band called The Flow, we are a covers band from West Yorkshire that originated around 5 years ago now. here is our Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/rock2theflow. I have also been in other bands such as acoustic duos, and even a metal band. I started playing bass guitar in Lockdown because I was bored and I decided to buy one, fortunately this has benefitted me massively because, I then got the chance to join The Flow. Over the past three years of playing bass, I think my progression has scaled massively. This summer I passed my rock school grade 5 (Bass) exam with a distinction, I am currently working on grade 8 bass and grade 8 guitar. I also have grade 5 guitar with a merit. By the time I finish college I hope I have grade 8 for both instruments and grade 5 theory. This should make getting into a music university a lot more possible than if I didn’t have those grades. I really hope I end up with a job in the music industry and that I get into a music uni. I also achieved a level 2 merit for my GCSE B-tech music.

In project one For my Level three extended course year I will learn skills such as, How to properly plan a live event and put on a music showcase for the college, How to set up a stage, how to operate a sound desk, How to manage a stage, How to create a risk assessment and how to Collaborate and work with people in my class.

In my second year at college, I hope to progress even more with music in general and learn plenty of new skills that will benefit me in musical situations that I will get put in and Im looking forward to the projects ahead.
