The main ideas I have for this project are:
- Restoring a 1996 Fender Precision bass by deep cleaning, re finishing the body and neck, customising it to my own liking, fitting new parts and electronics, setting the bass up, treating the frets and fretboard and showing it off at the end of year showcase by creating a time lapsed YouTube video of the full process, or possibly even playing a song to demonstrate how functional the bass is. If I did this for my final project there are many things that could go wrong because I have never restored a p bass before but there are also so many ways that I can learn from doing this. There is also a good chance that this project will be a great success for me because at the end of it I will make a bass that I will be possibly even be the primary instrument that I use for years and years of my life.
- Create a single and collaborate with other members of the class, in this single I would create the guitar and bass track and I would possibly collaborate with a singer and a drummer to make this idea into a song that I can promote with an album cover that I would make with Paul. I think this is a solid project idea because I would be able to find my own sound and I would learn many skills as well as collaborating with other people.
