For my graphical design in this project, i will make an album cover that can possibly be for my final project or the bands song that we are recording in this project. Firstly i will create all sorts of different album covers that i can choose and pick between for my final one.
For my first album cover, i wanted something that looked vintage and grainey, first i looked for a vintage album cover on snap chat because this filter became a trend on social media where you can make an album cover out of anything. The second thing i have done is found an aesthetically pleasing bit of scenery that i can take a quick photo of using my i phone. In the end i ended up taking a picture of the ceiling of the room that i am in for my graphics lessons.
As you can see, above this text is the image that i have taken through this filter on snapchat, there is also a few problems with the image above such as, not the right sizing, the black background around it and finally, the ‘parental advisory explicit content’ sticker that is in very poor quality. First i e mailed this image to the computer that i am on, then i opened the image on the computer through photo shop and cropped the black background out of the image so i am just left with the album cover, then i looked up the dimensions of the album cover online and re sized it to the exact specific size so that if i ever wanted to print this off it wouldn’t warp in size. Then to solve my last problem, i cloned a piece of the wall behind it and copied it over the actual sticker so it looked like just a piece of the wall. Finally i inserted the logo that i made last project in a colour that matches the vibe of the album along with the album name that i added which is untitled at the minute because i haven’t come up with a name yet.
