How I think the final performance went
I think that the final performance couldn’t have gone any better, this is because all the bands put on a great show and entered and exited the stage after each other smoothly. I also liked how the lighting and projections looked great! Yet again near the end of the performance the crowd interaction was that good that they were all up dancing, clapping and singing along to the songs.
How my role went
I really enjoyed being stage manager for the final performance and I think that everything went really well, I made sure that all guitars were in tune, all lyrics were brought out when needed, That all equipment was fully functional before the event and that they were no safety hazards on stage and finally that all the bands had confidence to put on a great show.
How the production went leading up to this event
I think that the planning of the event went pretty well, this is because we created a good looking band programme of the running order, we also set the stage up really well so it looked clean and tidy as well as being functional, we also filled up the venue to basically the max with the online tickets. I also think that everyone did their assigned role to the best that they could do because the event ran smooth with little to no issues.
Strengths and weaknesses of my individual performance
Overall I found some parts of the songs quite hard to learn But in the end with very few practises as a band, I think we had a great performance to finish the night. I think that for my strengths I had a good sense of awareness and communication with other band members when we had to end songs or go into different sections. I also think that I had a good sense of the phrasing of the songs and I was always listening to the tempo of the drums and trying to stay as tight as possible with them. The only thing that i’d say that I should work on is my stage presence and band placement because I felt like I was stood behind the singer.
Strengths and weaknesses of the bands performance
I feel like the bands strengths were that we had strong endings to all of our songs, we also had everybody up singing and dancing at the end and we had a good sense of communication for most of the performance. The only few weaknesses that we had were that we slipped out of time every now and again and we might’ve had a few wrong notes but nothing that bad so that the audience could tell, Overall I am really happy for how the bands performance has turned out.
