from this quote i have chosen the key words “eyes” and “laughing”, and also using the quote \u201cI found the place to be an oasis of calm, a haven from the stresses of the rest of the world.” and show how the eye is a window to the soul and try to show a calming type of view with the eye.<\/mark><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

the images underneath are photos someones eyes from the left front side of the person with the light from the sun pointing at the persons face. I have made the subject look off into the distance to signify that he is in his own world. I then used photoshop to edit it to see if i could make it look like a album cover for a song, my final outcome is red and purple suggesting he is in a magical world of his own. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

More eye photos. for the first ones i edited it to how i liked it then added a circle on top of the iris and added a gradient to the circle which gave it the rainbow colour, i then adjusted the angle of the gradient to make it show all colours in the circle i then made it 80% opacity and change it to linear burn to make it mix and look more real<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

for these photos below i took a photo of my subject and made it bright and colourful with tropical colours, this gave it a more happy feel to the image. then i used ellipse to make circles and inverted them staggering each one, making it have rings of opposite colours. i then add little bubble and inverted them to, i like the final product because it gives it a joyful exotic feel with the colours and the rings giving it a oasis type aurora<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

here i drew a mail slot with a little flap that opens up to reveal a drawing of some eye peeking trough the mail slot, i did this to show that weather you are ill or not, or no matter how old you are you can always have some joy and happiness inside you, and you can always still enjoy life like a kid. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

here is a character i designed and drew which is inspired by my favourite manga “Tokyo Ghoul”. i gave this character red eyes to try make them look a bit different. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

for this piece i did multiple cartoony facial expressions in black marker and some coloured alcohol markers, i used this because it looks fun and exciting but yet quite simple for the hospice. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a workshop i did, where we had to draw by rubbing out charcoal and chalk. this workshop was inspired by Frank Auerbach who was a German-British painter who came to England as a jewish refugee from the 2nd world war. Frank has been producing art work for 50 plus years from 1960 to 2009 and even now. Frank Auerbach was a artist who would use a subject and draw and rub out and then re draw and rub out over and over, these are known as ghost drawings as you see the faded drawings underneath, which relate to memories very well showing old drawings as if they were a memory in time. This is my piece of art in the style of Auerbach<\/mark> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

i have turned the lino cut to black and white then overlayed it onto a photo of my subjects eye <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

i also edited to eye photo giving it a yellow glow as if the sun is pointing down on the subjects face to make it look like a calming and peaceful aura, and the lino cut texture that is on top gives the photo a wavy affect, further more suggesting a sea side atmosphere. <\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

here we did a workshop where we painted on to rocks, so i researched an artist called akie nakata who is a japanese artist who paints animals on to rocks and so i used that as a base and drew eyes on to some rocks with posca paint pens.<\/mark><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

i found a artist from Ukraine call Dmitriy Bragin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dmitry Bragin is a Ukrainian artist who specializes in steampunk masks that make the wearer look more machine than man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While most of Dmitry Bragin\u2019s stunning-looking masks aren\u2019t technically steampunk, as they contain no moving parts, it\u2019s clear that the sci-fi genre served as the main inspiration for them. The talented artist starts off with a flimsy plastic mask that\u2019s easy to shape as his base and adds all sorts of decorative elements to it in order to transform it into the wearable wonders you see below. The materials in his arsenal range from motorcycle parts and discarded camera lenses to metallic children\u2019s toys, although you couldn\u2019t really tell by looking at the finished product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

here we did a darkroom work shop, i printed a photo of a mask i made on to some tracing paper in negative and then laid that on top of some photographic paper which goes black when exposed to light then painted the developer on with a brush to give it a cool affect.<\/mark><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

here i have made a mask out of mod-roc because we did a workshop using mod-roc. To make this mask i cut strips of mod-roc and individually dipping the strips into a glass of water and them placed the on to my face and<\/b><\/mark>repeated this till the mask was thick then let it dry. i then painted the mask with a layer of white paint to make sure its nice and smooth, then i took photos of some sakura trees that are near my house and then i printed them out and ripped them into little peices and glued them onto the mask<\/mark><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

i decided to use the mask for my final piece, so i went back to where i took the photos i used for the mask and took more of me wearing the mask there which made me kind of blend into background
