{"id":915,"date":"2024-06-02T22:54:35","date_gmt":"2024-06-02T21:54:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10670096\/?page_id=915"},"modified":"2024-06-10T02:33:53","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T01:33:53","slug":"research-on-alternative-rock","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10670096\/research-on-alternative-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"research on alternative rock"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On this page, I will be documenting the inspirations and the ideas that I used to write and record my final project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used Nirvana as an inspiration due to Kurt Cobain&#8217;s excessive use of power chords in his songs such as smells like teen spirit and in bloom that have a aggressive drive through the songs that keep the listener engaged through the entire song. this pairs well with Dave Grohl&#8217;s hard hitting drums that are fitting for the style but yet complex and interesting to the listener. I have taken inspiration from this by using power chords in my song and also using hard hitting drum beats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"In Bloom-Dave Grohl Isolated drums of Nirvana\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LoXgHp8CcVU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I also took inspiration from green day due to their fast pace chord progression and there use of high BPMs to get an intense heavy feeling that isn&#8217;t metal but fits well into the alternative rock genre.
