I play better when I&#8217;m not recording due to lack of stress and knowing that it needs to be perfect or I won&#8217;t use it (because I&#8217;m a perfectionist) so in the future I&#8217;m going to spend time just learning how to record drums more confidently and relaxed with minimal stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"drum recording 2\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mcqqBjqhqwQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to not drop my sticks when recording and to have a tighter grip on them because it throws me off completely when recording meaning we have to do a complete new take because I dropped them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was still variating, trying to make it easier to play &#8211; I could have done this during rehearsals to make my life easier but I had time to spare so I thought I&#8217;d try it, ended up going with the original idea anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to pick one way to play the song instead of varying it during the recording process because then it&#8217;s to late to change it if I don&#8217;t like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also need to work on my fill consistency to make sure I play them 100% accurately instead of messing them up in recording.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was tired but still going for it &#8211; having persistence really paid off because I got the drums finished before lunch meaning I had all afternoon to work on the rest of my song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"cody bass recording\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ObSSOYyMxPk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This was not the most accurate but good for first time recording bass &#8211; this boosted my confidence a bit because I thought it was going to be terrible but it wasn&#8217;t which I am super proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to be careful with fret buzz &#8211; need to make sure I&#8217;m not forcing the strings too hard, causing fret buzz and to play lighter on the bass instead of full on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I experienced a bit of hesitation but this is better by the last take because of my persistence to get the job done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"guitar recording\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4zCcSJubrXo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I made some mistakes with lead but I went over and over with it to get it right and noted feedback when listening back this helped with the recording further on because I knew what mistakes I were making and could perfect it in the studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was actively reflecting on mistakes to make sure I wouldn&#8217;t continue making them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I noodled a bit so need to focus but was getting irritated at that point which didn&#8217;t help when recording because I started to rush it and I just wanted it to be perfect but I&#8217;m not the best guitarist in the world or even the college so I got what I got and moved on<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was still eager to get a good take though &#8211; persistence was a huge part of recording in the studio because if I wasn&#8217;t persistent I would get frustrated and want to give up so tried to keep a positive attitude.
