What I’ve learned from past projects is how to grow my confidence on stage and how to contribute more of my ideas, For example I used to just stick to my self and keep my ideas quiet, however now I talk more and give my opinions to improve the task we are doing. Before starting this course, one of my main downfalls was my confidence, and thanks to my peers and my tutors, I believe I have come along way from being quiet and keeping to my self. I now know that its best to put my ideas forward and contribute my ideas as it can help the entire performance go along away!
My aim for this project is to improve on my acting skills. It isn’t a strong point like dancing is, however acting had always interested me so at any given opportunity I would like to work on my acting skills. The research I have found for this project can help my development because it gives me a good starting point, such as how to get into my character and how to walk, talk and act like my character! Because my character is completely different to me and out of my comfort zone, I wanna try make my character as dramatic and funny as possible. To achieve this, I would wok on my acting skills to make sure I play the part to it’s full limits and prove that I am the right fit for the role.
As a way of reflecting on my work, I’ll ask my peers and tutors for feedback on how I’m doing and what i could improve on, I will write down anything I need to improve on so i can work on each thing step by step and improve anything i need to. At the end of the project i looked back at all of my feedback from my tutors and peers to make sure I improved on what I can, and the things I did improve on, I will take to the next year with me to keep improving on.
