The Roles in Production

In roles in production, there are actors, directors, technical and stage management roles.

Actor

An actor brings a story that a director has made put to life, they do the acting of the story and perform it to everyone with the skills they’re taught.

A director

A director is the one who gives feedback to the actors and crew, the director shapes the overall artistic view and makes sure everything on set is in control.

Technical roles

With the technical roles, there are lighting, sound, set and costume design.

Lighting

In the lighting, they create a mood and focus on the stage from behind a desk with cool switches.

Sound

With sound, they use music, sounds effects and there behind the desk also with the cool switches with the lighting crew.

Set/Costume Design/Props

With this role, a set is built by someone who knows how to build one, Costumes are chosen and made by someone on set, and same goes with Props.

Stage Management/Production

With Stage Management and Production, they organise rehearsals, insure props and set pieces are in place, and managing backstage coordination during the show.

Front Of House: A role in which they organise refreshments for the guests and usher into the show and help people get in the show who struggle to walk, or can’t see.

A note: My character is a friend of Willard’s, Bickle, and my production role which is front of the house with Martin, Daniela, Ellie, and Felix.
