Footloose

Footloose is a film directed by Herbert Ross, which stars Kevin Bacon, Lori Moore, Chris Penn, and Sarah Jessica Parker, the film is about Ren, a teenager, who moves to Beaumont and he learns that rock music and dancing are banned in the small town that his family relocates to. Ren starts a movement to get the ban abolished, the film has been adapted in broadway plays.

The themes in the footloose play are freedom vs control, rebellion, grief and healing, community and change, and friendship and support.
