Today I will be doing an evaluation of my performance which I performed twice, last Friday to Steph and yesterday in front of the music student in B21, we did the play which is called The Fugees and we were the last ones to do the play, and our dance to hairspray can’t stop the beat, and I was the first group performing our dance to Hairspray.
The Fugees is a screenplay which tells the story of three girls, Amy, Lizzie and Gladys who are murdered by a man, Harry, I played the character of Harry, and I hated playing Harry so much because he was a murderer. I felt so nervous performing in case anyone laughed like on Friday, I usually do feel nervous during performance and I take deep breaths or fidget with my AirPods to calm me down. I think Amber M, Amber D, and Polly, the three girls in my group all did an amazing performance in their acting.
I think I liked my performance more on Friday than yesterday because I liked the accent I did for my performance, it was a Southern American accent, and I thought I did great acting then but yesterday’s performance I hated so much because of my acting and my tone of voice, and I was so nervous yesterday, and I wasn’t as much on Friday.
My accent changed because everyone was British in the role and it won’t fit well with the rest, the good side of my performance is my ability to do an American accent and I’m learning more accents and a role of improvement me is that I would need to learn my lines and improve my acting skills more and build up my confidence and I hope that this course will build up my confidence in the future.
For my dancing module, I think I need to improve on remembering to learn the dance and to work on my coordination properly for the dance, but apart from that. I think I did a great job in my dance.
