This is a Nirvana logo that i find very interesting because that smiley face symbol is very familiar to other smiley face symbols that you might find on recreational drugs. Some examples of these drugs include ecstasy, mdma and tabs. This makes a-lot of sense because the lead singer (Kurt Cobain) did a lot of drugs openly and didn’t give a second thought to his reputation. He was also very vocal about his own views on everything and he became known to be controversial. He always liked being controversial so this made sense that they would make that the logo.
AC/DC, is an acronym for “Alternating current” and “Direct current” which is in electricity terms two different types of current. The have made a lot of songs to do with electricity, for example “Live wire” , “thunderstruck” , “high voltage” and “the jack”.
This logo is interesting because it is a mouth with its tongue sticking out which could be representing that they are anti-social and don’t have a care for authority. This can be interpreted as a sign of bad faith because back when it was made everything was more corporate in music but also the topics of some music made back then wasn’t taken as controversial as some comments would be now.
The Beatles logo is very interesting. Beetles are little insects and the name is spelt differently. The Beatles name could signify that they are little insects in the music world attacking it from within, because the beat in Beatles could stand for the music they made was upbeat.
The Busted band logo is quite cool. They’re name is busted and the logo is a stamp that used to get used by bounty hunters when they catch their bounty, they would stamp this logo onto the file of the criminal once he was obtained. This is very creative because they are using other meanings of the name to inspire their logo.
