Welcome to my project 3 portfolio.
In this project we are going to be in the studio recording the songs we wrote as bands, we will practice mixing and recording. By the end of this project, we hope to have our songs recorded, mixed and maybe even mastered. Each of our band mates will have their own mix of the song so we are all gonna have different versions of the song so there will be a diverse variation of this song.
I have reviewed my project 2 grade and feedback:
Some of my strengths are:
I think I have done well with my practical skills because I have improved over this period of time and I have started focusing more on playing and thinking of melodies.
Another thing I think I’ve done well is my explanation on how I made the two compositions and how I had the ideas and my progress along the production process.
Also I think I have done well throughout my first experiences using Ableton live, I think I caught on quickly on how to use it and i have exercised all my acquired knowledge, experimenting with samples, effects and instruments on the software.
Some of my areas for improvement are:
I need to improve on my research because I need to show what or how I learnt it and I can do this by uploading anything I research onto digital space and instead of researching without the documentation on digital space to make it seem like I did not research at all.
I also think that even though my guitar playing skills have improved, I would really like to improve them further and further. I need to improve on my timing skills and how to play to a click. I am going to achieve this by paying more attention to my progress and dedicate a bit of time everyday just to play my guitar.
Some targets i would like to set some targets for myself in this project are:
Music Theory: I set myself this target at the start of project 2 but I only set a target to learn more chords, I think I achieved this target lat project because I did not have a specific amount I wanted to learn. But this term I would like to explore more into Music theory as a whole instead of just chords. I will work towards achieving this target in my instrumental lessons with Erik Hayes.
