We have experimented with making our own drum racks and putting in samples of sounds. I put a few regular drum sounds in like: a kick, a snare, a tom, an open hi-hat, and a closed hi-hat. And then i put in some more unusual sounds like glass breaking and a camera taking a photo. I even added a vocal of a male voice saying “yo”. Then when I had these sampled sounds inputed I made small beat with it that gradually got more developed.
I cut the length of the snare to make it shorter and more hard-hitting.
I added drum buss to my kick to made it deeper and add more bass.
I added more amp settings to the sound to add more bass and make it a harder break.
Today we experimented with the simpler sample instrument on ableton and we cut audio samples into pieces and used the slices to make tracks
These songs above were just practice on learning how to use Ableton. After i was comfortable using Ableton and knew how to use it I started on my final project for this composition and all that is shown bellow. I hope this track is enjoyable.
These are the drums I used and created my very own drum beat instead of sampling one, I made the drums go in an ascending order where it adds on as the song goes on to create a build up type beat. There are two different drum kits to add more of a kick to it.
This is my bass, I created two bass lines, one for the verse one for the chorus, just like in a normal song.
Then i added more sounds for build up purposes.
I added some old meme sounds to add a bit of humour to it. Theres a bell from Taco Bell, an Oh No sound, an OOH MY GOD sound, and a BRUH sound.
This is how my song was made.
