The lord Clyde:
So to contact the venue I would like to host my event at, I found their email online and sent them an email. I just said what my plan is and tried to make it sound professional. I also said that I would like to arrange a date and time for me to go down there and speak to them in person to explain everything in broader detail.

“To whom it may concern,
My name is Lukass and I am a music student at Bradford college, I am on my final project now and I am going to host my own live music event. I was wondering if I could do this at your venue because you have a very big space in the back that I could use.
It would be a few bands performing and a few acoustic sets too. We would bring our own equipment. I would also be bringing an ice cream van to appeal to the younger audience and also try sorting out catering as well.
If you were to say yes, or even consider it, I would like to set up a time when I could come and discuss this in person if at all possible.
Kind regards, Lukass.”
They weren’t answering my emails so I went down to the venue to speak to someone. When I got there the manager gave me her email and told me to email her directly, so I did.

“The Lord Clyde,
My name is Lukass, I’m a music student at Bradford college and I’m on my final project of my time at college, I am creating an event and I was wondering if I could hold this event at your venue in the beer garden.
It would be a few bands performing and also a few acoustic sets too, we would be bringing almost all the equipment our selves and setting it up too. I also work with a catering company and was thinking of booking an ice cream van with them because this would help make my grade better.
I was wondering if this is something that you guys were up for doing, and if so i would like to set up a date and time where i could come down and talk to you guys in person to discuss specifics like guidelines, dates and times.
Kind regards, Lukass”
Nighttrain:
They still haven’t responded, so I thought I’d contact another venue because I’m running out of time for promotion and I can’t promote an event I may not have at a venue. So I thought I’d contact Nighttrain.

”Hello, my name is Lukass and I was wondering what it would take to hold a live event at your venue, I’m a college student and I’m creating an event for my final project. The event would consist of a mix of genres, acoustic performances and also a few bands.
We would bring most our own equipment and probably only need to use your PA system, one of the technicians from college could also do the sound tech role and setting up the stage.
I’m unsure about the tickets currently, we usually have free tickets and you just book them but I’m thinking of putting a small price on them for this event, depending on how the venue feels.
I was just interested to see if you guys would do something like this and if you are, what would be the guidelines, available dates and costs?
Thank you for your time, Lukass”
