What was good
The performance was impressive because everyone was quick to learn their part and learned it quite well considering we had never played in a group.
What was bad
the rehearsal was very interesting, it was our first time playing as a group and as a result it wasn’t bad but could have been a lot better. It was my first time playing bass so my performance was a bit slow with the tempo. The drums while good were too loud for you too hear the vocals or guitar.
Overall
Overall I think we did play well together due to the fact that many of us haven’t played in a group before, However it could had been performed quicker and we could have been more confident in our performances. To self improve I will start practicing at home, to improve as a band I think we should get together more often.
What was good
The performance was better, the vocals slightly more confident and the riff was performed very well when the distortion was turned up more than usual. Bass line has improved but still needs work.
What was bad
However guitar and bass was a bit out of time and seemed a bit lost, vocals were a bit too quiet, our drummer didn’t show up due to personally reasons. There should also be more of a harmony between the two singers.
How to improve
To improve my performance I will practice the bass line more often and therefore I will be more confident. To improve the bands performance I think we should increase the mic volume and make sure our singers are more confident.
What was good
The vocals were good as always with each note being hit perfectly, the bass was strong and along with the drums carried the song.
What was bad
The guitar was a bit out of place with the speed and rythm., I could have added more to the song but didn’t We didn’t play fast until the chorus when we should be playing fas the whole time.
How to improve
Next time the guitars should and will be faster through the whole song.And I’ll try to seem more involved in the song.
What was good
The drums were perfect through the song and I would say so the bass with timing and speed.
What was bad
The guitar was out of time and I seemed lost because I was not used to playing guitar for the song since I was on bass to begin with, looking very amateur in the process.
How to improve
I will be practicing more on the song and making sure I know what I’m doing and keeping in time with the song.
What was good
The vocals sounded perfect and there seemed to be a lot of energy, everyone looked confident especially with the first song.
What was bad
The guitar slowly slipped out of time with the second song and there was a delay when it came to the second of that song.
How to improve
Work on the speed and timing of the guitar especially when the guitar is alone with the vocals.
