What Was the Purpose Of The Project?
My main aim for this project was to write and record 2 to 3 songs unfortunately due to lack of time I was only able to complete 2 songs however I am very happy with the two songs I created.
What Feedback Did I Receive?
I was told to add a lot more instruments to my tracks to make the songs more interesting and less of the same thing over and over again.To help this I experimented with more synths and more effects.
How Did The Project Contribute To my Understanding Of the Music Industry?
The project helped me understand how much effort and time goes into creating new ideas, writing music and producing tracks to make them more clean and polished songs rather than raw pieces of audio put together,It also helped me understand the use and difference between effects and how they can help improve the feel of a song and change the entire feel of a song.
Research Evaluation
I am happy with the amount of research there is but looking back I could have gone more in depth about sound design as I only talk about envelopes and the difference between parameters.And while it isn’t bad research I could’ve talked about things like EQ and panning.
Practical Skill Evaluation
I think I improved on synth work and piano in this project and improved my understanding of software I used to record these songs,However saying that I think coming up with new chord progression for the keyboard was something I struggled with for a time.
What Would I Like To Do?
I would like to record and produce my own music, It is something that I am very good at and it is something I have always enjoyed,I think this project has improved my understanding of the production side of music and has helped me learn more about myself as a musician.
Did I Enjoy It?
Yes I did Enjoy this project because it helped me grow as an artist and helped me understand more about how much effort and time is put into making music.It has also helped me improved my skills on the keyboard and has helped me gain more of an understanding about sound design.
What Do I Need To Improve On?
I think its important to mention that I could have planned better for this project to work on two songs at the same time but I didn’t because I thought I would have had less trouble coming up with new chord progression and took to long.
