this was our final recordig for Brainstew as a band. for this song i recorded the second guitar and the bass. i think the recording wet pretty good as the bass wasnt out of time or was peaking at all
the guitar for the song also sounded decent with harmonics in the chorus bring a more heavy sound. I did this by lightly touching the strings. at first we did multiple takes of the song as a band without vocals. it took teamwork and good sense oof timing to complete. we then had Amy record in her vocals. the first take was a warmup as we had her sing in a strong Yorkshire accent. for her second and final take she used her actual singing voice and we we happy to continue.
after all the vocals were recorded in we decided to add another guitar track in played my me. this track used more harmonics on the chorus to bring a heavier effect.
Finally after all of this I mixed the final recording and uploaded it to Soundcloud to put on digital space
This was a practice video of me playing brain stew alone while the others were also practising. i think this went well as there were barely any mistakes involved.
