the reason we make a CV is because it shows your employer your skills and strengths for the job you are applying for. there are skills used in music that can be carried into other job roles such as skills like co-ordination and creative skills.

Dear hiring manager,
My name is Jaheim Paul, and I am currently in my third year of studying Music at Bradford College.
I’m writing to apply for a session musician role. I discovered this specific role on indeed and I believe my skills in Guitar make me a strong fit.
Before pursuing music, I spent a year studying Esports after finishing secondary school. I am a hardworking and creative individual who can be relied upon when it matters most. My experiences have taught me the importance of focus, perseverance, and teamwork. Living with autism and ADHD has also helped me develop strong problem solving skills and a unique perspective that fuels my creativity and dedication in everything I do.
I’ve done a few different work experiences that have helped me learn new things. In October 2023, I helped run the college café for a music event. I was behind the till serving tea, coffee, and drinks, and it was really nice helping people and keeping things going.
I also did some paid work with my ex-stepdad doing security installation. I helped with wires, making ethernet cables, carrying things, and helping when he was up ladders. It was good experience and I learned a lot from it.
Another job I did was helping my family member Paul build a fence and a gate for a pub. I carried heavy bits of wood, held things while he worked, and helped screw and nail things together. It was hard work but I enjoyed it and liked seeing it all finished.
I’ve also done gig work from my music course, which I’ve been doing for three years. I play guitar and really enjoy performing. Music makes me happy and confident.
