On this page I am going to give an overview on everything I have done to make this project a success. I am going to state which sources were used to acquire information, how I came up with the ideas for the track, and the problems I have encountered along the way. In a project where there was so much going on at once, I believe I have handled the pressure really well and produced some good work. This course is really important to me as I definitely see a future in music. I also need good A-levels so I can go to university, and further study Electronic Music Production. I am looking to go to the DBS institute in Manchester.
I believe I did extremely in-depth and thorough research for this project. Using a range of sources, I managed to gather some information that proved really important in all aspects of the project. I couldn’t have completed this project to the standard that it is at now without the research I have done. Not only has my research helped me in practical ways, but I have also expanded my knowledge regarding the industry, different job roles in the industry, and the history of my genre (House).
I have used a few different sources to acquire the information needed for my project to be a success. These have mainly been websites. While a lot of the work was done from my own knowledge, I have referred to websites for things such as information about famous artists, and problem solving. Websites, blogs and YouTube videos have been my main source of information over the past couple of months.
The research done has definitely improved the quality of my work. Little things like furthering my knowledge of EQ’s have been greatly helpful when completing this project. Even things like learning the history of house music, have changed my thought process while making this track. The research has changed my process entirely.
Luckily, this project has been done entirely by myself which allowed me to work on my own time frame. This is when I work the best. By working on my own time frame, I have not had to rush any creative decisions. I have been able to let the track sit for a couple of days, and come back to listening with fresh ears. This has greatly improved my decision making ability. quick decisions are not always the right ones.
I am looking to building a career in music production. That has been my goal for many years, and has continued up to present day. the skills i9 have picked-up, not only in this project, but the entire course, will enrich my ability to make music. This will hopefully lead me to success in the future. I am very lucky to be in this position.
This project has overall been a huge success. I am extremely happy with the final product and what it has achieved so far on all of my chosen streaming platforms. Of course, there are things that I could have improved on, but they will come with time and as I create and release more music. But as a producer that is only just starting out, I think this has been a great success. I hope that you think the same.
