A great dress rehearsal, not just by our band but all the bands that performed, Everything was great and added its own bit to the show. The feedback that we had was great and it showed people loved watching us. A massive well done to everyone that was involved. This performance was now ready for a proper audience.
The mock performance we did the day before really helped this to be ready. You could see everyones confidence come out when they got on stage. At this point everyone was really starting to get comfortable with what they were playing. This made for a great watch. The individual practice that everyone has put in really showed here. As for our own performance, everyone seemed to really enjoy it. The ending of uptown funk had everyone up on their feet dancing. This is what we set out to do, and it felt great seeing it happen. This goes to show what stage presence and confidence can do.
We had no pretty much perfected the songs. There were very minimal timing or technical issues. It seems like everyone was well and truly comfortable with what they were playing. Unfortunately, I could not hear through the monitors, which dampened my experience slightly. But as we were in the middle of performing, I couldn’t flag the issue. Despite this I carried on. I finished the set with little to no other problems.
We communicated well with the audience as well as with each other. We did this just to make sure we were on the same page. This helps everything to flow nicely. We had gotten pretty good at that by this point. I believe that we expressed a good vibe through the music we were playing, and it seemed like we made the audience feel that way as well. Everyone left that room with a smile on their face.
Overall, I think we did a great job as a band. We created a set that was enjoyable for an audience to watch. It also ended the whole show with a bang. The ending is what people will remember the most after they leave. So it is always important to leave them with something interesting and entertaining.
In terms of event production, I think we also did a great job. In just a few weeks, we have managed to pull off a great show. The event was meticulously planned, and without this strict planning, the gig wouldn’t of happened. I think we should be proud of ourselves, both as a band and event organisers.
